One could also think of such Beings as an aspect of God's working through the world - that they are real in that they are expression of God, just as angels are another kind of spiritual being. And, from an anthroposophical point of view, "imagination" is exactly what one needs to "see" and experience such beings: for an anthroposophist, imagination is not synonymous with fantasy or make-believe - it is a faculty which can give us insights into the world. But to use it properly one must be disciplined and learn
how to use it. It is a "higher faculty" which Steiner said all human beings have the capacity to use should they wish.
